Intro to Movement

Ages 5-6

  • Early posture training — Young dancers learn simple, age‑appropriate posture and alignment.
  • Basic positions — Introduces foundational positions in a fun, accessible way.
  • Traveling steps — Builds confidence through beginner movement across the floor.
  • Coordination building — Strengthens motor skills through structured, playful exercises.
  • Listening & musical awareness — Encourages focus, rhythm, and responsiveness to music.
  • Faith‑centered reflection — Prayer, a short devotion, and a scripture theme help dancers connect discipline, gratitude, and joy with movement, grounding their training in worship and reminding them that every step can honor God.

Intro to Ballet

Ages 7-9

  • Foundational posture training — Students learn early posture and alignment essential to classical ballet.

  • Barre fundamentals — Gentle barre work develops strength, coordination, and discipline.
  • Simple center exercises — Encourages balance, musicality, and confidence away from the barre.
  • Strength & coordination building — Age‑appropriate movement that supports physical development and focus.
  • Devotional encouragement — Prayer and scripture form a brief devotional moment in each class, nurturing perseverance and humility while reminding dancers that pursuing excellence is a way to honor God with their gifts.
  • Preparation for structured technique — Builds readiness for more formal ballet study as dancers grow in artistry and confidence.

Foundations of Ballet

Ages 10-12

  • Steady barre work — Builds confidence through consistent, age‑appropriate technique practice.
  • Simple turns — Introduces turning skills with a focus on balance and control.
  • Basic jumps — Strengthens coordination and light footwork through beginner allegro.
  • Clean alignment practice — Helps dancers understand posture, placement, and body awareness.
  • Coordination & musicality — Develops rhythmic confidence and body control.
  • Faith‑centered dedication — Encourages humility and honoring God through disciplined effort.
  • Prayer & scripture focus — Each class begins with intentional prayer and a verse that reminds dancers their work is an act of worship, encouraging perseverance, gratitude, and humility as they grow in skill and character.
